Ifetayo Cultural Arts Academy is currently seeking candidates for teaching positions within our on campus arts programs including the Cultural Arts Program (CAP) and Ifetayo Youth Ensemble (IYE) and the Arts Education (AE) program in partnership schools.  Specifically we are seeking:
  • Ballet Dance Teachers  
  • Modern Dance Teachers (Dunham, Graham and Horton)
  • African Dance Teachers (West African, Sabar, Kutiro)
  • Hip Hop Dance Teachers
  • Acting Teachers
  • Voice Teachers
  • Instrumental Music Teachers (Guitar, Piano, Woodwind, Trap Drum)
  • Traditional Music Teachers & Accompanists (Djembe Orchestra, Sabar Orchestra, Kutiro Orchestra)
  • Visual Arts Teachers (Painting & Sketching, Fashion Design, Beading)

Open Administrative Positions

Director of Finance & Administration (F/T)
The Director of Finance and Administration has fiscal, administrative and personnel responsibilities managing the day to day financial management of the organization. Director of Programs (F/T)
The Director of Programs will be responsible all six interrelated programs through the management and support of the program administrative team.   The Director of Programs will ensure that each program is achieving the desired goals and outcomes through evaluations, professional development and the retention of youth and families.  The Director of Programs works closely with the Associate Executive Director (AED) and the Executive Artistic Director to ensure that Ifetayo’s arts and cultural programs and initiatives respond to the needs of the community. (Full Job Description)

 

Cultural Arts Program Coordinator (P/T)
The Cultural Arts Program Coordinator manages the multidisciplinary arts program that operates on Saturdays for 40 sessions serving youth ages 2-18 and adult.  This position requires attention to detail, good customer service, and understanding arts administration best practices.  Main responsibilities include managing and motivating faculty members, young people and their parents as well as the community at large to increase involvement in program related activities as well as ensure the retention of students and families in the program.   (Full Job Description)

 

IYE Program Coordinator (P/T) 
Ifetayo Youth Ensemble Coordinator is responsible for the program administrative needs of the ensemble (i.e. attendance reports, rosters, participant calls) and provides artistic oversight, evaluation of the training classes, students, and teachers in the program.  The IYE Coordinator provides onsite support for students and teachers and facilitates workshops providers as the ensemble moves through their three-year program cycle.  The coordinator is responsible for booking shows, marketing, and negotiating contracts. The coordinator should have a working knowledge of positive youth development and social justice frameworks in order to share and guide the ensemble as they create original works around social justice issues. (Full Job Description)

 

College and Career Coach (P/T)
The College and Career Coach will be part of a team that will work with young people of our Rites of Passage programs (Sisters in Sisterhood and I am My Brother) and graduates/alumni to encourage positive development by providing and coordinating a wide range of individualized services around college advising including providing workshops, setting up visits with schools, individual one-on-one time to provide in-depth/hands-on college application activities, career planning and opportunities to engage in specialized programming about college.  The College and Career Coach will ensure that every graduate from Ifetayo is admitted into a best-fit college, and we seek to matriculate at least 95% of our seniors into college.
